We Work with You to Ensure a Good Match
We work closely with our families and high schools to help ensure the best possible match for each of our graduates. During the summer after sixth grade, Treavor Lord, our Head of School, and Academic Dean Hunt Lyman meet with parents to discuss the seventh and eighth grade program, to review each student’s progress and standardized test scores, and to discuss high school placement.
While high school placement varies year-to-year, typically about two-thirds of our graduates attend a local independent school, about twenty-five percent attend a boarding school, and about ten percent attend public school.
Hill School is an SSAT (Secondary School Admission Test) testing site and most of our seventh and eighth graders take this test in early January of each year.
We also meet annually with the high schools most of our graduates attend to present our eighth grade applicants and to track our graduates’ progress.
